Mujhse shaadi karogi?

Well, I haven’t asked this question yet but the movie is a cult classic that I love!

Also, I’m a sucker for a big fat Indian wedding and so is our country.

If the wedding industry itself ever had a matrimonial profile, this is how it would look:

1) I’m worth $50 Billion
2) I’m growing at 25-30% CAGR
3) People on average spend around 20% of their life savings on me
4) Till men and women are produced, I can never go out of business, no matter the condition of the economy.

Jokes aside…

For an industry so huge, penetration of technology hasn’t been up to the mark.

But, where there is a will there’s a way.

And when there’s an opportunity there are (multiple) entrepreneurs.

Right from Anupam Mittal’s Shaadi.com to emerging startups, the industry is seeing many businesses being built.

I’ve made countless decks for the Indian wedding sector and will never say no to the next one, provided you call me to your wedding 🙂
