Listen, if you are a new founder:
Avoid:
– Overcrowding slides
– Using poor quality graphics
– Overcomplicating the message
– Showing overly optimistic financial projections
Instead:
– Start by listing the problem(s) you are solving
– Find templates that have been able to get funding
– Study pitch decks from other companies in your industry
– Figure out the exact split of how you plan to use the funds
– Focus on what each team member brings to the table (for the team slide)
Focus on this for 2 weeks.
Build from there.
